Everywhere I look, peace is breaking out | First We Take Manhattan
Everywhere I look, peace is breaking out - this is a remarkable piece from Graham. What a thought. Peace is breaking out! I am listening to a book about Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire he carved out. he is remembered for the many people who he killed. We fail to remember just how brutal and callous those he fought were. Violence was the norm. Gratuitous sadistic violence. A complete uncaring for those you fought, those who depended on your protection. Nasty times. And we Christians were just as guilty and our hands were just as covered in blood as any one elses, including the Mongols.
It is refreshing to read something not driven by the need to sensationalise the violence in our society. There is too much. But let us know that peace is breaking out, and we are all invited to join in.
